Please review our service policies before proceeding with repairs

warningRepair Risks

Electronic repairs are unpredictable. Your device may be beyond repair or may be permanently damaged during repair and rendered useless. Circuit board components deteriorate over time and can fail without warning, especially on liquid-damaged devices where components can short circuit, oxidize, corrode, and rust over time. Repairs on devices with glued-on screens involve prying the screen to access internal components. Screens are very delicate and can crack or break during the prying process. We are highly experienced and the risk of screen breaking is minimal, but glass can break and risks do exist. Touch ID / Face ID on Apple devices may fail during repair and be deemed unusable. Although this is not common, it can happen depending on the device condition. Integrated/Dedicated GPUs on laptops and AIO computers can fail without warning, especially on older devices such as 2011 MacBooks/iMacs. HP, Dell, Toshiba, and other devices with known GPU problems of any year, make, and model may also be at risk.

While we try to be as thorough as possible with all estimates, we do not guarantee that our estimate is all-inclusive and final. Often, it is very difficult or impossible to identify every problem affecting a device until some work is performed. Our estimates may evolve or change during the course of servicing your device. If our technicians need to update the estimate, we will let you know as soon as possible before we proceed any further. All changes MUST be approved by you before we move on with any work. Our initial estimate will always remain valid within the scope of the services it was originally attached to, though we may advise you that the original service may have become unnecessary or unlikely to resolve the issue. It is the customer's responsibility to seek out an estimate. Upon receipt of devices, we assume that the customer wants us to proceed with the repair attempt, and that the customer has done their due diligence to reach out for an estimate or quote. It is the customer's responsibility to reach out for a quote ahead of time, if one is needed.

paymentPayment Options

We accept all major credit and debit cards for our repair services. All invoices are set on a 30-day payment terms basis. Laptop Doctor will give the customer multiple notices to make payment. If payment is not made within 30 days, the device will be recycled.

blockWarranty Exclusions

  • Any service using parts not purchased through Laptop Doctor
  • Any software issues, including virus removal or operating system installation
  • New symptoms/issues not directly tied to the original service within the 30-day guarantee period
  • Installing new hardware or modifying existing hardware in the 30-day guarantee period (this voids the Laptop Doctor Limited Shop Warranty)
  • Recurrence of original symptoms or issues caused by user error or negligence, including physical, liquid, electrical, or software-related damage.
NOTE: If your device is physically tampered with or damaged within the warranty period, the Laptop Doctor Limited Warranty is void. This includes cracked screens, dents, internal damage not present at time of original repair, attempts to open or modify the device, use of non-original charging cables, or any other action—accidental or intentional—that could cause our repair to fail. Some services performed by Laptop Doctor may void your manufacturer's warranty. By accepting service from us, you understand and agree that we are not held liable for voiding your device manufacturer's warranty.

build_circleWarranty Repairs

If your device malfunctions or fails within 30 days from the time that you received it, we will perform the repair again at no extra cost. The issue must be related to the original work order. If the issue is unrelated, you will be notified about the repair cost before we proceed. No refunds are issued before we attempt the repair again so we can verify the validity of the claim. Refunds are only issued if we are not able to fix your device (minus the repair attempt fee and return shipping). If your device qualifies for warranty repair, you are responsible for shipping the device back to us, and we will cover return shipping.

scheduleEstimate and Repair Time

We pride ourselves on the speed of our repairs. Many of our repairs are completed in 1–48 hours, however, we cannot guarantee repair times. Repair times mentioned on our website or promotional materials are estimates only.

settings_suggestReplacement Parts Procedure

If a service requires parts to complete, we will contact you before ordering. We will explain the need, cost, and estimated arrival. Due to shipping times being beyond our control, these are estimates only. If you wish to hold your device until parts arrive, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the part's cost will be required. Laptop Doctor generally does not use customer-supplied parts since we cannot verify quality. Any repairs using customer-supplied parts are not covered by warranty.

currency_rupeeRepair Attempt Fee

We charge a repair attempt fee for most devices involving motherboard repairs, data recovery, or previously worked-on devices. If the repair is unsuccessful, you will be charged ₹300–₹1500 to cover technician time.

local_shippingShipping Policy

The shipping instructions you provide will be followed. Failure to request insurance makes the customer solely responsible for damages during shipping. Devices not shipped in original packaging are more prone to damage. If you provide your own label, you must include insurance if required.

backupData/Data Recovery

Laptop Doctor does not guarantee the safety of your data. While we take precautions, we cannot assume liability for data loss during service. Customers are strongly encouraged to back up important files before handing over their device. Data recovery costs for SSDs and HDDs range between ₹2000 – ₹50000. Recovered data will be transferred to a new drive purchased from Laptop Doctor and billed to the customer. Old drives will not be returned since they are dismantled during recovery.

schedulePickup Time Limit and Storage

We will hold devices for 60 days after notifying you for pickup. After 60 days, devices will be considered abandoned and may be sold to recover costs or recycled if non-functional. If you request extended storage, a fee of ₹3,000/month will apply after the initial 60-day period.

Shipping Guidelines

To ensure your device arrives safely, please follow these shipping guidelines:

  • Use a sturdy box with ample padding
  • Wrap your device in bubble wrap or similar material
  • Include your contact information and repair details
  • Choose a shipping method with tracking
  • Consider insuring your package for its full value

Important: We strongly recommend insuring your package for its full value. We are not responsible for any damage or loss during transit if proper packaging and insurance are not used. If you provide your own shipping label, please ensure it includes insurance coverage.

Data Recovery Services

We offer professional data recovery services for various storage devices. Please note the following:

  • Data recovery costs range from ₹2,000 to ₹50,000 depending on complexity
  • Recovered data will be transferred to a new drive (purchased separately)
  • Original drives cannot be returned as they are dismantled during recovery
  • Success rates vary based on damage type and extent

Important: While we take every precaution to protect your data, we cannot guarantee successful recovery. We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups of your important data.

Please note our storage policies:

  • Devices must be picked up within 60 days of notification

  • Extended storage is available for ₹3,000 per month
  • Abandoned devices may be sold or recycled to recover costs
